Banking associations take online career center nationwide

BankTalentHQ.com is intended to help alleviate staffing shortages in the banking industry.

Businesses of all kinds report difficulty recruiting workers, and the banking industry is no different.

Now the American Bankers Association has teamed up with the Illinois Bankers Association and 32 other state banking groups to help alleviate staffing shortages through an online career center.

IBA originally developed the site BankTalentHQ.com, as a hub for jobseekers and bank employers in Illinois. ABA, IBA and the other associations have since enhanced the website to have a national reach, ABA said in a statement.

In addition to job postings, the site will offer an array of resources for anyone looking to join the industry or advance their banking career, including ABA training, professional certifications and guidance on pursuing a career in banking.

"With today's tight job market, this is the perfect moment to partner with our state association alliance colleagues to offer this premier banking job site," ABA CEO Rob Nichols said in a statement.

"BankTalentHQ provides a nationwide network that really showcases the incredible opportunities in banking today," he said. "Today's modern bank needs talented and dedicated technology, marketing, and HR leaders as well as traditional finance and risk management professionals. We want people from all backgrounds and all corners of the country to find their future in banking at BankTalentHQ.com."
